E-Z-HOOK AND MR. TURBO JOIN FORCES TO CONQUER THE MOTORCYCLE WORLD LAND SPEED RECORD

Attention Editors:

In an attempt to break the current motorcycle world land speed record Sam Wheeler owner of the Kawasaki powered E-Z-Hook motorcycle streamliner and Terry Kizer owner of Mr. Turbo have joined forces. Sam Wheeler will be providing and riding the motorcycle while Terry Kizer will supply the engine work and the turbo charger for the 2001 Land Speed Racing season.

Races will take place at the Bonneville Salt Flats in August, September and possibly October. Wheeler has currently reached speeds of just over 300mph and is looking to break the standing world motorcycle speed record of 322mph held by Dave Campos riding the Harley-Davidson powered "Easy Rider" motorcycle streamliner.

A little over a year ago Terry Kizer proposed a plan to provide the engine work and turbo charger. "We are looking to take on some research and development projects right now and this would be beneficial to our program", Kizer said. Terry Kizer, located in Huston, Texas has been blazing down the drag strip with turbo charged motorcycles for 24 years.

Los Angeles local, Sam Wheeler, who resides in Arcadia California, has been involved in motorcycle land speed racing for 30 years and has plenty of experience on the salt flats. Sam said, "We need 250 horse power to reach 330mph, and turbo charging is a proven method for getting there". The partnership of Wheeler and Kizer should prove for an exciting 2001 Land Speed Racing season.
